Pickleball Update 5/29/17
The Nets are up
Weather permitting, there will be a SOFT opening Tuesday,
May 30th, with Open Play. This is not a social event, just a chance
to try out the courts and have a game with others. Bring balls if you have
them. Some have been ordered, but are back-ordered.
Lock on the Courts
A combination lock has been placed on the court. The
combination is PICK. To play, check in as you enter the front door. If nobody
is on the court, unlock it. If you are the last to leave the court, be sure to
replace the lock. This is for liability issues and to keep kids from skate
boarding, etc. on the courts.
Open House Sunday,
November 11
There will be an open house Sunday, November 11, that will
include Open Play, a clinic for beginners, BYO & comraderies. Details to
follow. Save the date.
Clinics for
Beginners
There will be clinics for new players the next two Sundays,
June 4 & 11, at 3:00. For anyone who has never played, they can attend a
clinic one time without paying the guest fee. Spread the word and help grow our
group of picklers.
Other Clinics
Clare Grabher will offer clinics at any level. The fee for a
group of 3 or more is $15/person; for 2, $20/person; for a private lesson, $50.
This can be discussed at the June 11 social to see how much interest there is
in having regularly scheduled clinics. For anyone (or group) who wants to set
up their own clinic, contact Clare directly at nehh@aol.com.
